Who are we

Our website address is:

What personal information we collect and why we collect it

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the information displayed in the comment form and also the visitor’s IP address and the browser’s user agent string to help find spam.

An anonymous string created from your email address (also called hash) can be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you use it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available here: After approving your comment, your profile picture will be visible to the public in connection with your comment.

If you are uploading images to the site, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location information (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site can download and extract all location information from images on the site.

Contact form

If you leave a comment on our website, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you do not have to fill in your information again when you leave a new comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personal information and is thrown away when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also configure multiple cookies to save your login information and screen selections. Login cookies last for two days, and screen option cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will continue for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal information and simply indicates the postal ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may contain embedded content (eg videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites works in exactly the same way as if the visitor has visited the other site.

These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged into that site.

How long we keep your information

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata will be retained indefinitely. This is so that we can recognize and approve all follow-up comments automatically instead of keeping them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our site (if any), we also store the personal information that they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except that they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also view and edit that information.

What rights you have over your information

If you have an account on this site or have made any comments, you may request to have an exported file containing the personal information we hold about you, including all information you have provided to us. You may also request that we delete all personal information we hold about you. This does not include any information that we are required to retain for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Where we send your information

Visitor comments can be verified through an automatic spam detection service.
